Gravure printing is an intaglio printing method based on the photolithography method. The gravure plate is composed of concave points, with smeared ink on the entire surface of the plate and scraped off with a doctor blade. Then printing is done by leaving ink only at the concave points, and it indicates the shading depending on the thickness of the ink. The ink used is a low-viscosity solvent type. Gravure is a printing method that can enrich the expression of the shading even in high-speed printing and can enable seamless reprinting.
